Who can become a member of Akash Neem?

All individuals committed to sharing and developing Akash Neem’s mission, vision, and values through their active participation are welcome to apply for membership. We look forward to growing an international network of committed members who wish to share their passion for making big changes through small-scale efforts to help women and children. All applications for membership are considered by the Board of Directors of Akash Neem as per their statutes (to be posted in English soon).

Does membership of Akash Neem cost anything?

A small membership fee of 25 Euros per year is charged as a sign of member commitment to the Akash Neem. The fees will be used to fund development, fundraising, and outreach efforts for the organization. The main commitment required from members is their active participation.

What are the responsibilities of members?

All members should be committed to actively participating in the work of Akash Neem. We welcome the unique talents of our members and their creative ideas to help AK advance in it’s goal to advance community-based projects executed with culturally, socially, and environmentally responsible practices. Members may also participate more actively on specific Action Committees designed to provide strategic support, action, and direction for our localized partners.

Member meetings are held quarterly in Paris. All travel costs to and from meetings will need to be covered by individual members.

What are the benefits of membership?

The main benefit of membership is being able to join in the joint advocacy activities, sharing of information, and educational opportunities provided by Akash Neem. Through working together in Akash Neem, our members and international partners are able to achieve their common advocacy and educational objectives.

Members of Akash Neem are automatically invited to become part of any and all of the Akash Neem’s networks. Members may be invited to Forum-sponsored functions, trainings and workshops.

Most importantly, members have the opportunity to influence decisions being made on Akash Neem policies, priorities, strategies and actions, and to raise issues of concern. Akash Neem wants to provide an open forum and opportunity to meet and work alongside representatives from many international and localized partners and professionals with common values and interests.
